Victim Child Advocate Manager (VCAM) 20 hours per week—Brooksville

Individual advocates for children who are victims of crime/abused, neglected or abandoned and involved with dependency court. Individual may personally conduct or supervise volunteers in conducting face-to-face meetings with children and their families and engage in meetings with educators, medical, mental health and child welfare professionals, etc. Individual is responsible for attending court hearings and submitting court reports. Requirements: BA from an accredited four year college or university with a major in social science and one year of relevant experience. Must possess valid driver’s license and undergo a level II criminal background check. Annual Salary: $18,189.00, no health benefits (Grant runs Oct. 1, 2019-September 30th 2020, but Voices for Children of North Florida, Inc., will re-apply annually.) Work is performed under the supervision of 5th Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program Circuit Director. Victim Best Interest Attorney (VBIA) FT—Ocala

Provides legal representation on behalf of the Guardian ad Litem Program (GALP). The GALP represents children who are victims of crime/abused, neglected or abandoned and involved with dependency court. File pleadings and motions and attend depositions, mediations and multidisciplinary meetings, which include various social service agency personnel and GALP employees and volunteers. Requirements: Graduation from an ABA accredited law school and admission to the Florida Bar. Prefer one to two years of litigation experience. Annual Salary: $50,299.92 No health benefits. (Grant runs Oct. 1, 2019-September 30th 2020, but Voices for Children of North Florida, Inc., will re-apply annually.) Victim Child Advocate Manager Assistant (VCAMA) FT—Ocala
Individual advocates for children who are victims of crime/abused, neglected or abandoned and involved with dependency court by supporting human service and legal personnel. Individual secures all information/statistics necessary for compliance with grant requirements including the recording, maintenance and submission of monthly reports. Individual facilitates Crime Compensation form submissions and performs other duties as needed. Requirements: Prefer AA/paralegal, but will accept high school diploma with three years of relevant experience. Must possess valid driver’s license and undergo a level II criminal background check. Annual Salary: $25,854.00. No health benefits. (Grant runs Oct. 1, 2019-September 30th 2020, but Voices for Children of North Florida, Inc., will re-apply annually.)
