It is an extremely difficult time for all of us at Voices for Children, as Peg Donovan has passed away suddenly. Peg has been a strong presence on our board since 2012 with her no nonsense approach and her determination that the children deserve, and receive the services and support they need. Peg was our secretary for many years, worked on our bylaws, assisted with our Christmas project and often represented Voices at events. Peg was our liaison with the Sky Ranch Foundation and her efforts insured that our Normalcy Program has received funding in the amount of $235,000.00 over the last 8 years, allowing our children to participate in activities otherwise not available to them.
Peg was a proud Chicagoan who was loyal to the city and their teams. Go Blackhawks!
Peg's spirit, voice and conscience will be missed. Our thoughts, prayers and hearts are with her family, who she so adored. May she rest in peace.
Providing support to our children for more than 30 years, Voices For Children is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to help provide for the unmet needs of abused, neglected, abandoned, vulnerable or otherwise disadvantaged children in Citrus, Hernando, Lake, Marion and Sumter Counties.
